This shot was taken from the pier in Southend-on-Sea, which extends 1.34 miles out into the ocean, and is the longest pleasure pier in the world, and was taken looking west during the late afternoon as the sun disappeared briefly behind the clouds. It seemed to create a spotlight on the Thames, perfectly framed between the cloud trail, the two lamp posts and the pier fencing.
