The Cutty Sark is the most famous tea clipper built and is one of only two clippers to have survived. After the Second World War she was towed to Greenwich and placed in a specially constructed dry dock in 1954. After a lot of restoration work she was opened to the public in 1957. Then back in May of 2007 she was badly damaged by fire. Luckily she was undergoing restoration and about 50% of the ship had been removed, so the damage could’ve been a lot worse. Then after a five more years of work and restoration, she was officially opened to the public in April of 2012. The following shot was taken a few months back when I was down in Greenwich and visited the newly restored Cutty Sark.
